IDP Rankings – Week Six
Vontaze Burfict – Mr. Burfict has a monster 50 total tackles through five games this season which places him second in the league. Burfict led the Bengals in tackles last season so his production should not come as that much of a surprise to regular IDP owners. Burfict is expected to keep the good times rolling and comes in as our eleventh ranked linebacker fantasy play for week six of the fantasy football season.
Sean Lee – After a slow start to the season that saw Sean Lee rack up a pedestrian 16 total tackles over his first three games Lee responded by posting 18 tackles and 16 tackles in his next two contests. Lee also had a pick six and pass defended in week four. Lee finds himself atop our rankings this week and with the Panthers Cool Hand Luke struggling Lee will likely occupy the top spot for most of the season.
Barry Church – Through five weeks Church leads all defensive backs in solo tackles and top five in total tackles. Church needs to be taken seriously in fantasy leagues as a DB1 and should be added in leagues where rival owners are still skeptical about the first year starter. Church comes in at eleven in our week six rankings.
Jonathan Cyprien – Rookie safety Jonathan Cyprien has 30 solo tackles, six assists, one sack and two forced fumbles through five games and shows no signs of slowing down. We had Cyprien ranked highly this preseason but had no idea he would be such a force this quickly. Cyprien comes in at number twelve in our week six rankings and it is expected we will have him ranked as a DB1 for the rest of the season.
Chandler Jones – Chandler Jones remains one of the highest upside DL plays and continues to be ranked in the top five week to week despite not playing up to that level so far this season. Jones and Ninkovich wreak havoc at the end spots but that does not always translate to statistical production. Keep rolling with Jon Jones’ big brother.
Mario Williams – After being an epic disappointment in his first year with the Bills Mario Williams has got it going this year and leads all defensive ends with 7.5 sacks through five weeks. Williams comes in as a top five option this week against Andy Dalton who has been sacked ten times over the past three weeks. Expect to see Williams with his hands on Dalton more than once this week.
