IDP Rankings – Week Six

If you are not playing in a league that uses IDP you are really missing out on half of the fantasy game. Kickers and D/ST leave much to chance and draft day decisions while IDP takes both knowledge, skill and foresight.

At defensive back Harrison Smith remains atop our rankings with Morgan Burnett a close second. So far this year we have plenty of corners with high tackle numbers including Jonathan Joseph and Leodis McKelvin who both rank in the top five for solo tackles amongst defensive backs with 32 and 28 respectively. Malcolm Jenkins has snuck into the DB1 conversation and is a high upside play against the Giants.

At linebacker we have the usual suspects in the top five Deandre Levy highlighting the next fixtures at LB1. Levy has always been a stud linebacker but his game is translating more well to fantasy and now has higher upside with Stephen Tulloch lost for the season and he is on pace to smash his career high in both solo and total tackles. Rolando McClain cracks the top-15 this week as he is expected to have a ton of opportunities for tackles while trying to deal with Lynch, Wilson, Harvin and Turbin on the ground.

At defensive end we have JJ Watt at the top of the mountain like always with Chandler Jones punched in at number two. Behind them there are no major movers as our rankings look the same as many others and as always we advise to aim for players that get consistent tackle numbers on top of their sacks and caution against players that had one big game surrounded by duds. Consistency is king at what could well be IDP’s most integral position.

Without further adieu here are our constantly updated and tweaked week six IDP rankings:
