Jabar Gaffney has the potential to be Denver’s #1 receiver and as his 14 reception, 213 yard performance in week 17 can attest to, without B-Mac in the lineup Gaffney has proven himself to be Kyle Orton’s most trusted weapon.
Here are Kyle Orton’s comments:
“(Gaffney’s) always where you need him to be and where you expect him to be,” Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton said. “And he does that at every spot. As a quarterback, if you know what you’re getting from a receiver, that’s always going to help.”
I personally prefer Eddie Royal and Demmaryius Thomas but you cannot argue with his production with Orton at the helm and B-Mac not in the lineup. Gaffney is getting no love and may be sitting on waiver wires if you have already drafted and will likely be available until the late rounds in 12 team leagues.
Draft Jabar Gaffney with confidence as a bye week filler with tremendous upside, his upside is as a WR3 but he should entrench himself as a valuable flex player this season.
