The Chiefs offense just got a lot more exciting and Baldwin will help to improve their red-zone efficiency.
While Baldwin may have the tools to eventually be a number one receiver in the NFL, he is in a position to flourish alongside Dwayne Bowe.
Chiefs fans have a good reason to be excited.
Fantasy Impact:
Jonathan Baldwin projects as one of the NFL’s top red-zone weapons at 6’5 with amazing hands, but he is also a fearless possession receiver who can dominate over the middle.
Baldwin has legit 80 reception, 8 touchdown upside in his rookie campaign as long as he manages to be named starter from day one.
Some may question this projection as the Chiefs were the most run-heavy team in the league last year but with another huge weapon for Matt Cassell we believe they will start to throw the ball a bit more.
Baldwin looks like a solid bench option with flex or even WR3 upside during the stretch run.
He is the third best receiver in this draft but other receivers have bigger roles, so if you plan to draft as the third receiver off the board just note that he will likely not be the 3rd most productive fantasy rookie WR.
We will have a more in depth analysis after the free agency period has begun.
