Marshawn Lynch Traded to the Seahawks: Fantasy Football Implications
Marshawn Lynch got dealt to the Seattle Seahawks and he has a new lease on life.
This former first round pick and former first round fantasy running back joins a backfield devoid of any real talent and should be handed the feature back role almost immediately.
Lynch is a dual threat as he also has dependable hands coming out of the backfield, he had 46 receptions in 2008.
Lets remember Marshawn Lynch is only 24 and had back to back 1000 yard rushing seasons including his rookie season.
Marshawn Lynch has low-end RB2/RB3 value going forward as he will still have to split some touches with Justin Forsett and Leon Washington.
Justin Forsett and Leon Washington take a major value hit and are now nothing more than bye week fillers or bench depth with upside.
C.J Spiller and Fred Jackson owners see both of their backs with an expanded role going forward and C.J Spiller and Fred Jackson should both be solid RB3’s going forward with obvious RB2 upside.
This is a good trade for both teams as the Bills acquire assets for a player who clearly was not in their long-term plans and the Seahawks get a bruising between the tackles runner who doubles as a more than competent receiver out of the backfield.
