According to Reuters, Clinton Portis will be out 4 to 6 weeks due to a groin injury. The biggest beneficiary will be Ryan Torain, giving fantasy owners the green light to start him for the next month.
If for some reason Torain is still available in your league, pick him up immediately as he will be the undisputed Redskin feature back until Portis returns.
For those in deeper leagues, fullback Mike Sellers and halfback Chad Sampson are next in line for RB touches in Washington. But with Sampson’s limited experience, look for Sellers to get more touches similar to how San Diego’s fullback Mike Tolbert did when Matthews went down with an injury.
