RB Rankings – Week Eleven

Giovani Bernard looks like an absolute fantasy stud and those in dynasty leagues should go all out to add the tantalizing rookie to their squad. In redraft Bernard is a borderline RB1 only because his weekly workload is always in question with the Bengals staff insisting that they need BJGE to keep Bernard fresh and running at full tilt whenever he is in the game. Bernard comes in as our number eleven overall play at running back this week against a solid but beatable Browns defense. Gio is the eleventh ranked running back so far this season and he is only going to get better as the season progresses.

Andre Brown has a stranglehold on the Giants starting running back job and looks like a solid upside RB2 this week against the Packers always questionable run defense. The Packers have consistently been shredded by the more talented larger backs they have faced this season and at 227 lbs Brown should have a solid fantasy day, especially if the Giants can jump out in front of a Scott Tolzien led Packers squad.

Ben Tate comes in as a RB1 this week in a tasty match-up against a beatable Raiders defense that has given up solid rushing days to most of the opponents they have faced this season. Tate is dealing with four cracked ribs or he would come in higher than the current ranking of tenth he occupies as of this writing. Tate has no competition in this backfield with Arian Foster injured and should continue to get all the work he can handle going forward.

Trent Richardson has been a fantasy bust of epic proportions this year and it appears the Cleveland Browns do indeed know a little more about football than the plethora of analysts who slammed their trade of T-Rich to the Colts. It has become readily apparent, because he has someone else to compete with in Indy, that T-Rich is an inferior talent to ‘dammit’ Donald Brown, something that mystifies to even write. Richardson does have some talent in him but has not been a competent runner thus far in the NFL, perhaps it is nothing more than scheme, but he is no more than a upside laden RB3 for the time being.
