Roy Williams is fantasy relevant
The injury to Dez Bryant may be a blessing in disguise to the Dallas Cowboys, it takes the attention off of a promising rookie and is allowing Tony Romo and Roy Williams to strengthen their reportedly growing on-field communication.
Roy Williams now has a decent chance to muster flex value with a season of 40+ catches and 5+ TD’s. That is enough to start giving him consideration in fantasy leagues, and the arrival of Dez Bryant should not change his fantasy impact from last year much if at all..
Roy Williams has already shown the ability to make an impact in the NFL as his 82 receptions, 1310 yards and 7 TD’s in 2006 can attest to. Williams is still in his prime and if not for the presence of Dez Bryant Williams would be poised for a breakout season.
Williams is a red-zone machine when he is on his game and has 7+ TD’s in 4 of his 6 NFL seasons, and has had more than 5 TD five times in six years.
The Cowboys stand to benefit from the added chemistry he and Romo will get to accrue with Bryant out as the will be that much more deadly in three-wide sets and in the red-zone where Williams shines.
Fantasy owners take notice as a another 7 touchdown season is not out of the realm of possibility.
