Sit Em, Start Em – Week Six

Start

Harry Douglas vs Falcons – Well of course you will be starting Roddy white in his tasty match-up versus the Panthers secondary but you should also have Harry Douglas in lineups, especially in PPR leagues. With Julio Jones due out for the next couple of weeks it is Douglas who will see increased snaps as a result. Now while he is nowhere near the talent of Jones he should gave a serviceable week in week six especially in a bye week.

Calvin Johnson vs the 49ers – Okay, I don’t have to tell anyone to start the best wideout in the NFL today, but this week he has an especially tasty match-up against a 49ers secondary that is vulnerable to the deep ball. CJ will likely go off in this one regardless of extra coverage. With that said we suggest starting Nate Burleson as well.

Arian Foster vs Baltimore – The Baltimore Ravens are typically a defense you want to sit your running backs against but this week Arian Foster is still a must-star. Never mind the high draft pick but Foster when healthy playes like one of the top running backs in the NFL and can get it done through the air as well as on the ground. The box may be stacked against the run but as mentioned Foster is also a major weapon in the passing game. Start Foster with confidence this week.

Stevan Ridley vs Cowboys – With BenJarvus Green-Ellis’ status for this Sunday’s match-up in question Stevan Ridley seems poised for a big day against the Cowboys. The Patriots are expected to be protecting a lead in this one which is what the Patriots drafted the impressive Ridley for. Start him with confidence as a flex this week.

Sit

Jahvid Best vs 49ers – Best should be on fantasy benches in all leagues except for PPR formats. Best is a poor bet to have any sort of solid production on the ground against the 49ers run defense but should still manage to haul in a few targets in the passing game.

Reggie Bush vs the Jets – Daniel Thomas is due back this week and that should be news enough for owners to leave Bush on the bench, but as if that was not enough the Dolphins square off against division rival Jets who are a defense you never usually want to play any running back outside the top five against. Bush is not that, leave him on benches this week.

Brandon Marshall vs Jets – If Darelle Revis were not enough, instead of Chad Henne, who is no Tom Brady to begin with, Brandon Marshall has the lackadaisical Matt Moore throwing him the ball. This is a match-up to avoid if you can this week.
