Win My Fantasy League writers Rizzla and J-Has give you their top small forward sleepers for the 2010-2011 fantasy basketball season.
Rizzla
Antawn Jamison – Antawn Jamison will be leaned on heavily in Cleveland with LeBron James now in Miami. J.J Hickson will likely be looked at to be the primary scorer but Jamison will be called upon to play a central role on this team and should hover around 17 and 9 for the season even as a 2nd or 3rd option. Antawn Jamison is a solid ADP sleeper, bump him up on your cheat sheet.
Lamar Odom – Despite consistently being a top-50 type player Lamar Odom continues to be undervalued in drafts year in and year out. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact he comes off the bench but Lamar Odom is one of the most highly productive 6th men in the league and with Andrew Bynum likely out until December L.O should crack the starting lineup to start the season only boosting his fantasy value.L.O is the 106th ranked player in the Yahoo! game despite Bynum being injured and the fact that he finished 55th with 10.8 and 9.7…those numbers should increase this season. I have him ranked as my #14 ranked SF while Yahoo has him as their 26th ranked player.
Michael Beasley – Michael Beasley is ranked 116 overall or the 44th ranked PF. Now I have him as a SF but would still have him at about 12-15 if I ranked him as a PF. Michael Beasley will finally get an opportunity to shine in the NBA and I expect this uber talent to take full advantage of the opportunity afforded him by the Timberwolves. A 20-10 season is in the distinct realm of possibility as I expect Beasley to step in as the T-Wolves #1 option.
Anthony Randolph – Anthony Randolph is set to have triple position eligibility this season with C, PF and soon SF being afforded to him. He is expected to man the 3 spot with Turiaf at C and Amare at PF but he will also play some spot minutes at both the 4 and 5. He has considerable upside especially with regular minutes in Mike D’Antoni’s offense. 17 and 9 is his upside and no one in the fantasy community would be surprised if he matched or exceeded those expectations. I have him ranked as my #7 SF while Yahoo! has him ranked as their 29th ranked PF. If I had ranked him as a PF I would have ranked him #13.
J-Has
Al Thornton – Al Thornton will be the starting Small Forward at the start of the season, but Josh Howard threatens to usurp Thornton once Howard returns from his injury. Thornton has been working hard in the off-season and has reportedly lost 20 pounds. With Howard’s injury proneness and lack of work ethic, look for Thornton to remain the starter for the entire year. Keep in mind, that 2 years ago as a member of the L.A. Clippers, Thornton averaged 16.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.7 steals/blocks per game. He if can to this production he will be a steal in the end rounds of a draft.

Is Rizzla on something? Did he honestly just say J.J. Hickson will be the Cavs primary SCORING option? Above Jamison and Mo? I understand this is his job, but really? If he keeps saying stuff like “J.J. Hickson will likely be looked at to be the primary scorer”, he will be out of a job. Does anyone really agree with Rizzla that J.J. freaking Hickson is going to be the #1 option/scorer for the Cavs? I know they fell hard in terms of talent once LBJ and Big Z left, but I don’t think they’ve resorted to a team where their “primary scorer” is JJ. HAHAHAHAHA
Allen,
Lol, yes I do believe Hickson will be leaned on….you have seen preseason by now and know I am onto something as opposed to on something…but hey this is why fantasy basketball is great differing opinions can provide serious value later in your draft
Take advantage of other owners who think like you and steal Hickson…and your league
