In week one we saw Roddy White, Brandon Marshall and Antonio Gates lead the way with thirteen targets a piece, with Wes Welker and DeSean Jackson close behind with twelve each.
The following players had more than ten targets: Roddy White, Brandon Marhsall, Antonio Gates, Wes Welker, DeSean Jackson, Reggie Wayne, Brandon Llyod, Hakeem Nicks, Mike Wallace, Steve Smith, Mike Thomas, Andre Johnson, Santonio Holmes, Mike Williams, Calvin Johnson, Kenny Britt, Aaron Hernandez and Reggie Bush.
Surprising names on the top targets of the week list include: Jerome Simpson of the Bengals, Darren Sproles of the Saints, Cadillac Williams, Mike Tolbert and Earnest Graham, all of whom had nine targets in week one.
Interesting analysis:
Jordy Nelson had the same amount of targets as Greg Jennings (8).
Mike Tolbert hauled in all nine of his targets.
Despite only two receptions for 14 yards Antonio Brown of the Steelers had nine targets.
Darrius Heyward-Bey, Mohamed Massaquoi, Jabar Gaffney, Arrelious Benn and Brian Hartline all had seven targets and should be available on many waiver wires.
