Fantasy Football Target Practice – Week 4
Target Practice is a weekly look at the past weeks top targets in fantasy football. We look at the numbers and provide some analysis.
Sunday was a crazy day with 3 wide receivers getting over 15 targets; Reggie Wayne had 19, Brandon Llyod had 18 while Terrell Owens had 15. Both T.O and Wayne were thrown to over 40% of the time.
Surprising names atop the target list include Zach Miller who hauled in 11 of his 13 targets and looks in line for another big game against the Chargers this week. He had the most efficient day of anyone with double-digit targets.
Other surprises include the aforementioned Brandon Llyod, LeSean McCoy, Brandon Pettigrew, Mark Clayton, Ben Watson, Lance Moore and Brian Hartline/
Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew had 11 targets a piece while Tony Scheffler had 10.
Ben Watson of the Browns had 10 targets while Stephen Williams of the Cardinals had 9.
Brian Hartline and Davone Bess both had more targets than Brandon Marshall with 9 and 12 respectively.
LeSean McCoy paced all running backs with 15 targets.
Wes Welker got over 40% of the targets against the Dolphins.
Eddie Royal hauled in all 8 of his targets.
Players with over 10 targets include: Reggie Wayne, Brandon Llyod, Terrell Owens, LeSean McCoy, Mark Clayton, Zach Miller, Davone Bess, Tony Gonzalez, Brandon Pettigrew, Calvin Johnson, Dallas Clark, Larry Fitzgerald, Wes Welker, Tony Scheffler, Benjamin Watson and Anquan Boldin.
