Taylor Ward to be called up
According to Taylor Blake Ward exciting Los Angeles Angels prospect Taylor Ward is set to be called up this week.
Ward really broke out this season in the minors after the Angels moved him from catcher to third base exploding to the tune of a .349/14 hr/18 sb slash across 102 games in double and triple A.
Ward was really nothing special in the minors outside the average department prior to this year and helping him realize his offensive potential was part of the impetus behind moving him to third base this spring.
Ward looks like a solid add in redraft leagues as the catcher position is lacking of upside and Ward looks like a top ten option at the position even if his average drops 100 points from his minor league numbers.
Dynasty and keeper league owners will want to make the immediate add as Ward is soon to gain eligibility at third base increasing his keeper value. Ward looks to have huge upside and should at a minimum be a solid corner infielder and at best a high average 20/20 threat with third base eligibility. Make the add wherever possible.
