TE Rankings – Week Eleven
Vernon Davis is expected to be cleared to play this week and comes in as our seventh ranked tight end for week eleven. Davis is essential to the 49ers passing attack especially with Crabtree still sidelined as he essentially functions as the teams number one receiver despite part-time blocking duties. Davis has a tough matchup on paper this week against a Saints team giving up the third fewest points to the tight end position but further analysis suggests Davis has a strong chance at a line of at least four receptions for 80 yards with a possible score.
Julius Thomas makes another appearance in out top five this week, a spot he will likely occupy until Peyton Manning retires or misses a significant amount of time with an injury. Thomas is a very tough cover to begin with, when coupled with three pro bowl level receivers, it is just not fair to opposing defenses. Thomas comes in as our fourth ranked tight end play for week eleven of the fantasy football season.
Jordan Reed looks to have a plus match-up this week against the Eagles and comes in as a top five option this Sunday. Reed has been functioning as the team’s number two receiver and the rapport between him and RGIII continues to grow each week. Reed has more value in PPR leagues but is still a top ten tight end play regardless of format.
Heath Miller comes in as our eleventh ranked tight end for this week as the Steelers face off against the Lions. Heath remains one of Big Ben’s most trusted options when he is not being asked to block and is capable of a solid fantasy day on any given Sunday, especially in PPR formats.
