TE Rankings – Week Nine

Jordan Reed is officially banging on the door of elite fantasy tight ends; while he may never ascend to tier one he is definitely scratching at the tier two barrier. Reed is locked in as the number two option in the passing game and that will not change this year with the trade deadline now come and gone. Hankerson, Moss, Morgan and Robinson are only average weapons leading RGIII to lean on his young tight end when Pierre Garçon is not open.

Jared Cook’s fantasy stock is in the toilet if it was not already. Cook started the season off with a bang but has fell by the wayside due to Sam Bradford’s ineptness and now Kellen Clemens being Kellen Clemens. Cook is no more than a TE2 and is our 18th overall tight end for week nine.

Greg Olsen should have a strong fantasy day this week against the Falcons struggling defense. Olsen checks in as a top-seven option this week and will likely be a top ten option for the rest of the season.

Tim Wright looks like he may ascend to the Buccaneers number two option in the passing game in the wake of Mike Williams being placed on I.R. Though he comes in as a TE2 option again this week, he is trending upward and may be a TE1 play be next week. Wright would be ranked higher if he had a better QB, but should be a solid flex play in leagues that allow you to flex tight ends.
