Week Ten Rankings
At the wide receiver position Odell Beckham has forced his way into the WR2 conversation where he will likely reside for the next five to ten years. We have also seen Jeremy Maclin solidify his WR1 status and Michael Floyd fall down to the low end WR2 level. Jarvis Landry has officially taken the reigns as the number two receiver in Miami and while he is only a WR4 option at the moment, it is evident watching him that he is one of the more talented receivers in the NFL. Outside of the touchdowns Kendall Wright has been a major disappointment this year but that was always a possibility with Jake Locker as his QB, with Zach Mettenberger now under center his fantasy arrow is pointing up.
At the running back position Montee Ball has returned to the practice field but has all but lost his job to Ronnie Hillman who has shined with Ball out. Gio Bernard is expected to miss this Thursday’s tilt against the Browns and that makes Jeremy Hill a top ten option in all formats.
Charles Sims is ranked as an RB2 and should see significant action if the Bucs decide to dress him this week while those high on Terrance West should view him as more of a low floor RB3 than must-start RB2.
At the quarterback position we have a bunch of starters this week including unproven commodities Ryan Mallett and Zach Mettenberger. Michael Vick is also expected to receive another start and is ranked just below Mark Sanchez for week ten as we have them at 14 and 12 respectively. Andrew Luck has really arrived in 2014 and has already started breaking Peyton Manning’s records in Indianapolis and will be ranked as a top three QB for the rest of his career.
At tight end Rob Gronkowski proved once again that when fully healthy he is quite frankly in a class all to himself, and just think if he was not such a strong blocker he would have the potential to put up even more gaudy numbers week to week. Jimmy Graham takes top spot this week with Gronk on bye and TE streamers are expected to be out in full force this week, we suggest Charles Clay who found the end zone last week and almost had a second score. Jared Cook is fools gold at the position as he has yet to show any consistency with Austin Davis under center even though theoretically he should be in the TE1 conversation with Brian Quick lost for the season.
And without further adieu here are our constantly updated week ten rankings:
