Week Three Rankings
As we do every week Win My Fantasy League Senior Writer Raju Byfield aka Rizzla brings you his complete standard league and PPR rankings for week three of the fantasy football season. As always these rankings are fluid and will be updated until game-time so be sure to check back for movement based on injury updates, depth chart changes and team disciplinary action.
At the quarterback position Kirk Cousins makes his debut at 21 overall following yet another RGIII injury while Peyton Manning slides to 3rd overall for week three with a date with the Super Bowl champion Seahawks on the schedule. Tony Romo despite not being a strong option based on his recent play comes in at number 13 overall with the Rams on deck for week three.
At the running back position Le’Veon Bell has solidified himself as a high end RB1 while Demarco Murray makes his 2014 debut atop our running back rankings. Knile Davis rocketed up to 21st overall following the injury to Jamaal Charles and he could creep up even further by the time Sunday rolls around. On the other end of the spectrum Matt Asiata has fallen to 43rd in our rankings while Toby Gerhart tumbled down to 31st. Stevan Ridley cracks the top 20 after an impressive performance for the Patriots this past week versus the AP-less Vikings garnering 101 rushing yards off of 25 carries.
At wide receiver Brandon Marshall proved he is a top five option everytime he steps on a football field, injured or not while Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson remain ranked as lower end WR2’s due to the shaky quarterback situations they have to endure. Wes Welker is slated to return this week and is ranked as a WR3 this week as he may be on a snap count in his first week back from suspension.
At tight end the ageless Antonio Gates is now ranked as a top ten option while his teammate Ladarius Green is mired in the 20’s despite the offseason hype train. Julius Thomas is still a good bet to lead the NFL in touchdowns and Kyle Rudolph is poised to go off after being charted as having run the most routes from the slot of any tight end in the NFL. Buy low if you can.
