Week Two Rankings
There were some big movers after week one in our rankings most notably Knowshon Moreno who looks like he is the feature back the Dolphins brought him in to be after trashing the Patriots on the ground. Terrance West gets a huge boost with news that he will be starting while Ben Tate is sidelined for 2-4 weeks. Allen Hurns was fantastic in the first quarter against the Eagles and showed that he can get it done in the regular season. Hurns has the potential to hold some fantasy value in deeper leagues.
At wide receiver Calvin Johnson expectedly tops our boards this week as he will every week he is starting while Markus Wheaton has jumped all the way into WR3 territory. Andre Johnson despite their WR1 upside look to be settling as WR2’s for this season. Steve Smith jumped a bit in our rankings as he exhibited that he will have some fantasy relevance as a flex option in deeper leagues but expectations should be tempered as the Ravens will not throw the ball 62 times every week.
At running back the aforementioned West and Moreno are our biggest movers. Hill is still ranked as a RB2/RB3 option as his weekly upside is just to hard to ignore. Le’Veon Bell had a whale of a week despite getting vultured by LaGarette Blount and exhibited true every-down back skills. Zac Stacy failed to impress and as a low yards per carry back with the worst quarterback situation in the league he has been demoted to locked RB2/RB3 status for the rest of the season. Deep leaguers will want to add Benny Cunningham and/or Tre Mason.
At tight end we have Julius Thomas atop pur list after a sensational week one that exemlified that Julius may have legit 18+ TD upside this season; a number that would probably lead the league. Antonio Gates stays ranked as a TE1 as he cemented his role as the top tight end on the Chargers and his team high ten targets tied him for fourth among tight ends.
Without further adieu here is our week two rankings:
