Which rookie WR will have the best season?
Rizzla: Earlier this offseason I would have said Brian Quick in a heartbeat, but he has failed to ascend the depth chart as quickly as expected and Justin Blackmon has showed uncanny chemistry with Blaine Gabbert. Blackmon is a gamer and is playing in an offense that will cater to his skill set. The Jags should be behind plenty so Blackmon will get a lot of love. A prolific receiver in college, Blackmon has 80+ reception, 6+TD upside in his rookie campaign. Kendall Wright and Alshon Jeffery are dark horses.
Zach: This is a tough one, but I’ll go with Justin Blackmon despite his inexperienced and unproven quarterback in Blaine Gabbert. If MJD’s holdout lasts into the regular season the Jaguars may be inclined to lean more on their passing game, which would be good news for Blackmon owners. He’s been solid this preseason and has the size and skills to be a good wide receiver in the NFL.
J-Has: Justin Blackmon. Although Blaine Gabbert is in for a rough year (especially if MJD holds out well into the season), Blackmon is his number one receiver. The Jaguars will be playing from behind, so expect Justin Blackmon to accumulate a lot of yardage with at least 5 touchdowns.
