Will 2011 NFL Draft Have a Skill Position Frenzy Due to Lockout?

0
The 2011 NFL Draft only has three sure-fire first round prospects at skill positions in Cam Newton, A.J Green and Julio Jones.

Some will make the case for Blaine Gabbert, Colin Kaepernick and Jake Locker as well as they will likely get long hard looks in the 1st round with Gabbert and Locker already rumoured to be going in the top half of the 1st round according to some reputable mock drafts.

On day 2 of the NFL draft is when the real fun will start.

With NFL teams unable to address their needs via free agency due to the lockout there is the school of thought that NFL teams will go all out in attempting to fill those positional needs starting in the 2nd round.

Now while skill players starting to fly off the board on day 2 is no rarity, the total amount of skill players drafted on day 2 may be.

Only time will tell, but lucky for us the draft is only days away.
