Shooting Guards: Overvalued

Overvalued

Manu Ginobili – James Anderson was brought in to ease some of Ginobili’s workload and with Ginobili functioning as a 6th man his value stands to take a hit from the presence of this electrifying scoring rookie. Ginobili will still be a valuable fantasy contributor but may fall short of his ADP in terms of statistical production.

Anthony Morrow – I have Outlaw penciled in at SF and T-Will at SG with Damion Jones backing up Outlaw. T-Will will get at least 30 mins a game and if the Melo trade goes down Morrow becomes a waste of draft slot and roster spot. I am still puzzled why he was ranked so high in the first place.

J-Has

Kevin Martin has played less than 62 games in each of his last 3 seasons.  In fact, ‘Mini K-Mart’ has played fewer games each season since 2007.   Let’s not forget that he was shipped out of Sacramento because he was inhibiting Tyreke Evans’ production.  Chemistry may not have a direct impact on his fantasy production, but it certainly doesn’t help.  Finally, when compared to other fantasy relevant shooting guards, Martin provides low steal, rebound, and assist totals.  Instead he is limited to providing points, threes, and free throw percentage.  I would knock him down several spots below Yahoo’s 48th overall ranking due to his lack of durability and limited fantasy category contribution.
