Week 14 Fantasy Football Rankings

The fantasy playoffs is upon us and it is time for us to take a look at this week’s rankings.

We will be updating these ranking all week and will be putting out a staff consensus rankings before kick-off tomorrow.

If you have any sit/start questions, please email, use the comment box below or contact us via twitter before 12pm Sunday.

Calvin Johnson is on pace to break Jerry Rice’s single season receiving yard record and may even crack 2,000 on the season if Matthew Stafford has anything to say about it. The Lions are not going anywhere this season so may actually look to get Megatron’s name in the record books in the coming weeks. We are witnessing one of the greatest receiving seasons in NFL history….so much for the dreaded Madden Curse. Megatron is the top receiver for week 14 and the rest of the season.

Adrian Peterson is number one this week and is another player on pace for a career year and who will be threatening 2,000 yards on the season. AP’s pace of 120.5 rushing yards per game would put him at 1,928 rushing yards for the season. AP has averaged 167 yards rushing over his past four and gets two of those same teams over the last four which leads one to believe that a 2,000 yard rushing season is firmly within this superhuman’s grasp. Never again will we doubt a running back coming back from an ACL tear…especially if he is a gifted athlete like Adrian Peterson. AP is a top three fantasy back the rest of the way.

Brendan Myers is someone who is going to make a serious impact during the fantasy playoffs. Now having Carson Palmer’s full trust and with Denarius struggling to beat double coverage with McFadden out, Myers has ascended the tight end totem pole. Myers is now a solid TE1 and is a potentially elite option in PPR leagues.

Aaron Rodgers should have a big bounce back week against the Detroit Lions and their beatable secondary. Greg Jennings is back and in his second week should be able to reel in more than 50% of his targets after leading his team in targets in week thirteen. Nelson may still be out this week but a healthy Jennings may actually make more of an impact than healthy Nelson. Look for Rodgers to go off and get back in his fantasy owners good graces.
