Week Seven Rankings

Aaron Rodgers is back. With Cedric Benson suffering a lisfranc injury Aaron Rodgers no longer has a hammer to give red zone carries to and that resulted in a fantasy bonanza of six touchdown passes in week six. Aa-Rod is locked and loaded for the rest of the season. Congratulations if you managed to buy low after this season started.

Alfred Morris has entered matchup proof territory with his solid performance against the Vikings defense. He is an exceptional one-cut runner who can exploit even the smallest of creases and as a former linebacker he is extremely adept at gaining yards after contact. Morris looks like an every week RB1 from here on out.

Calvin Johnson is still ranked as the top wide receiver for week seven despite AJ Green coming in as the top fantasy receiver overall and on average. Julio Jones is still a mega talent but is not double team proof like AJ, Fitz and Megatron. Even Dwayne Bowe and his teammate Roddy White can beat double teams on a more consistent basis.

JJ Watt is beast, but if you play IDP you already know this. Jerell Freeman gets a big boost in this week’s rankings and Colin McCarthy is expected to round back into LB1 form this week.

    Hey Johnny,

Great question. I would recommend Jay Cutler at home versus a Detroit Lions Defense that focuses on stopping the run, but is vulnerable against the pass. Look for Cutler to throw a lot to his many capable targets that include Brandon Marshall, Matt Forte and Alshon Jeffrey.
