2018 Fantasy Football: Week Seven IDP Rankings

0

Week seven is almost upon us and in this weeks IDP rankings we will take a look at three players at defensive line, defensive back and linebacker that may be available in your IDP league.

Getting accurate IDP ownership levels is difficult because many leagues only use single or double idp flex slots, while others only opt for one spot at each position.

For the purposes of this article we will focus on players owned in less than 20 percent of yahoo leagues while next week we will focus on players available in over 90 percent of leagues.

At defensive back three players sitting at under 20 percent ownership that should be owned in competitive IDP leagues include Antoine Bethea, Tony Jefferson and Clayton Geathers. The injured Tre Boston also merits a mention, especially in leagues with multiple IR spots. All four of these players are borderline DB1s making their low ownership numbers all the more puzzling.

At linebacker the Buffalo Bills Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds are two players sitting at under 20 percent owned that should be owned in all competitive IDP leagues. They have both been a little inconsistent but have remained productive and are in the LB1 conversation. The Detroit Lions Jarrad Davis is more of a strict LB2 but still warrants ownership in competitive leagues as he possesses LB1 talent and upside.

At defensive line three players that fit the bill include the Indianapolis Colts Margus Hunt, the Seattle Seahawks Frank Clark and the Cincinnati Bengals Carlos Dunlap. All three of these players have been on tears and warrant DL1 consideration with both Clark and Dunlap DE1s. Margus Hunt on the other hand while more of a DE2 has dual eligibility and doubles as a DT1.

As per usual we will be updating our rankings throughout the weekend up until kickoff Sunday afternoon, so be sure to check back for our latest thoughts and updates. And don’t forget folks, this weekend features an early game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennessee Titans so be sure swap out any game time decisions Saturday night or be prepared to be awake and available early Sunday to manage your roster.
