With Anquan Boldin going to B-More, the immediate fantasy impact is as follows:
Anquan Boldin sees an immediate upgrade as Joe Flacco‘s new #1 WR and should see double digit touchdowns, 1000+ receiving yards and over 80 catches and instantly becomes a WR1 in fantasy football.
Steve Breaston and Early Doucet also see immediate upgrades, but please fantasy community remember, Kurt Warner has retired, and Matt Leinart….well he is Matt Leinart…with that said they will still be playing opposite Fitz and will stand to benefit from all the extra attention he garners.
Ray Rice should see more open running lanes and perhaps, and here’s a scary thought, get even better and become a more dominant fantasy force. Despite his size Ray Rice has proved he can bang on the ground and through the air, and a good run blocking WR like Boldin, who doubles as the teams number one receiver is a serious boon for Ray Rice. In fantasy however it means that the Ravens will be less dependent on the run, as at times last season they became somewhat one-dimensional.
Matt Leinart gets a ”no-duh” downgrade, and at this time may be a sleeper QB2 pick
Joe Flacco gets a new toy and one of the most talented receivers in the league, look for the Ravens to further address the receiver situation in the later rounds of the draft, further increasing Flacco‘s fantasy value for the year.
