Antonio Bryant to Bengals: Fantasy Impact

0

antonio-bryantCincinnati has landed yet another ‘troubled’ player, this time in the talented Antonio Bryant. It is a wonder he did not garner more interest, but after bringing in both T.O and Bryant, the organization chose to go with the younger Bryant.

This move will not affect Chad Ochocinco, but will affect Andre Caldwell, who saw a slight value boost with Coles not returning to the team.

Antonio Bryant will be the #2 WR in a run heavy attack, but the good thing is that he is playing with a QB who can air it out if need be. One year removed from surgery expect to see the Bengals give Palmer the green light to move the ball down field through the air if the situation warrants it. Bryant should settle in as a WR2/WR3 after he gets acclimated with Carson Palmer.

Carson Palmer sees a big boost with this signing as he once again has a legit #2 to throw to after losing his #2 T.J Houzmanzadeh to the Seattle Seahawks last off-season. Bump him up your cheat sheets after this move.

Andre Caldwell sees a slight value decrease, but most fanalysts including myself, did not move Caldwell up our cheat sheets as we knew Caldwell is ideally suited for a slot role in the Bengals offense.

Chad Ochocinco will remain relatively unaffected as he had a very productive season last campaign and looks to benefit from the fact that Bryant will keep opposing defenses honest.
