Raptors forward Reggie Evans sits at #2 on the NBA leading rebounder list, but many people are still wondering if his talent is legit and if the insane numbers can last…..
Through the first 5 games of the season, the former 1st overall pick has averaged 18 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals, and 1.8 blocks, while shooting 56% from the field. Yes the steals will flatten out as the season progresses, but there is no reason to believe that his points, rebounds, and blocks subside. Before his injuries, Brand had averaged 20-10-2 over 4 consecutive years between 2003 and 2006.
Out of ‘the big three,’ Chris Bosh was the most disappointing as he was just 3 for 11 from the field, finishing with only 8 points. He did manage 8 rebounds and 1 block, but so did Udonis Haslem (actually Haslem had 11 boards). Bosh did not have the excuse of being injured during preseason and looked very hesitant at times. He had one amazing baseline move that froze Garnett and led to a nice dunk, but after that he seemed content to just pass it back to Lebron.
Sacramento Kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins is set to be a fantasy hoops beast for years to come, but the question remains: How much of an impact will he make this year?
