Fantasy Football Fix Nov 1st 2010

In Today’s Fantasy Football Fix: JaMarcus Russell to workout for the Redskins; Kenny Britt may return this season; At least 4 teams interested in Randy Moss; Sidney Rice to be activated from the PUP list and more…..

jamrcusHere’s a name I didn’t expect to hear this season….former number one overall pick JaMarcus Russell will work out for the Redskins and I think learning behind Donovan McNabb may be the perfect spot for JaMarcus to resurrect his career. Washington will need to get some WR help in order for JaMarcus to have an y chance at success but Santana Moss will qualify as the best WR he has ever played with and he will have two excellent pass catching tight ends as well.

Win My Fantasy League has its Hot Pickups for Week 9, and this expansive list is a must read. For future information Win My Fantasy League puts out its hot pickups by Sunday night or Monday morning so you can gain a competitive advantage especially in daily transaction leagues.

Chris Wesseling, my favorite fantasy sports writer, has his own top pickups for week 9, and his list is always worth a look. Its a deep and comprehensive list that covers more names than we did and is a necessary read for the serious fantasy football G.M.

Where will Randy Moss land? Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com says Seattle, St. Louis, Miami and Tennessee are all contemplating making a claim for Randy Moss. St. Louis makes the most sense in my eyes as I predicted yesterday.

Kenny Britt may not be lost for the season and those in redraft leagues and recommended to hold onto him until we get a prognosis. He is an excellent buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues after his injury.

Sidney Rice is sill a couple of weeks away but will be activated from the PUP list by the Nov 9th deadline in hopes of him contributing this season. The Vikings are a mess but Favre and Rice have a great rapport and if Favre is still playing than Sidney Rice can really help fantasy teams.

Malcolm Floyd will not return in week 9. Patrick Crayton and Legudu Naanee are the main beneficiaries while he is out.

Apparently Percy Harvin is “livid” that Brad Childress decided to waive Randy Moss. So are we, Harvin’s value takes a major hit with this news and he will go back to facing double teams when healthy.

Jonathan Stewart blamed his piss poor performance as a starter on his offensive line which is missing lynch-pin G Jeff Otah, and the run game may continue to have problems until he returns.
