Fantasy Football Fix September 20th 2010

reggiebushReggie Bush will be out at least 6 weeks following his injury on Monday Night Football. Corey Ivory is expected to step up in his absence and is a solid pickup with flex upside. Claim as a bye week filler.

Brandon Jacobs does not appear to have asked for a trade during his meeting with Giants officials Monday and he probably just wanted some clarification about his role going forward.

Darelle Revis will be out until at least week 5 and that lengthy holdout has now cost him and his team dearly. This is good news for Brandon Marshall and Percy Harvin owners. Lee Evans owners need to wait until next year when the Bills finally draft a QB.

Trent Edwards has been benched for Ryan Fitzpatrick and one has to be asking themselves just why in the hell didn’t the Bills pursue a QB this off-season, or at least make a bid for Sage Rosenfels or Matt Leinart once the season started. Maybe they have a 7 year plan to build through the draft…who knows?

Jason Witten expects to play this week against the Texans after suffering a concussion in week 2.

Percy Harvin has a strained hip and we are recommending sitting him until further notice. Harvin looked really good in the 1st half but reaggravated his hip injury and now is probably better off on your bench until further notice.

Golden Tate will have a larger role going forward and it is about time as he is arguably the most talented receiver on this roster with Mike Williams. He is worth an add due to his upside. We are expecting a mid-season breakout.

Mardy Gilyard will have an increased role going forward as Spags is realizing that Gilyard despite not having a firm grasp on the entire playbook is one of the two most talented active receivers on this roster. He is worth a speculative add in deeper formats and is a must-add if still available in dynasty leagues.
