Frank Gore Lost For The Season: Fantasy Implications

Frank Gore has suffered a fractured hip and will be lost for the season.

He suffered the injury this past week during Monday night football and will be replaced by former fantasy stud Brian Westbrook.

Westbrook flashed vintage form with 23 carries for 138 yards and 1 touchdown and looks to be the feature back the rest of the way.

Consider Brian Westbrook a RB3 with RB2 upside the rest of the season in standard leagues while we can consider him an RB2 in PPR leagues.

Anthony Dixon is also worth a look as he may be employed as a change of pace/short yardage option as well as a secondary option at the goal-line. Don’t go over board as Brian Westbrook is an accomplished goal line warrior. He is nothing more than a flex2 in the deepest leagues for now.
