Hot Pickups – Week 11

Fred Jackson is mysteriously only 55% owned in Yahoo! leagues and with his breakout game coupled with the injury to C.J Spiller he needs to be owned in all leagues. F-Jax went off against the Lions for 133 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries and 37 yards and a touchdown off of 6 receptions.

Mike Williams of the Seattle Seahawks went off again and is sitting at only 39% owned in Yahoo! leagues. ‘BMW’ Big Mike Williams finished the day with an impressive 11 receptions for 145 yards. There is no reason he should be available in 60% of leagues as he has been a monster with three 10+ reception games in his last five.

Mario Manningham had a huge game in Steve Smith’s absence with 10 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown and needs to be owned as long as Steve Smith is out. Smith is set to be out for at least two more weeks which means Manningham needs to be owned in more than just 65% of leagues. Check your wire just in case.

Keiland Williams got the surprise start for the Redskins and responded with an amazing three touchdowns. He had two on the ground and one through the air racking up 89 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving. We don’t project more than a 10-12 touch role going forward but this performance is too good to ignore…for fantasy owners or Mike Shannahan.

Jerome Harrison exploded in a blowout victory for 109 yards and 1 TD on 11 carries for the Eagles and is worth a look in deeper leagues. McCoy owners should view him as a must-have handcuff. He got extra burn in a blowout but has earned himself an expanded role going forward with his impressive performance.

Jacoby Ford looked electric and broke out for 148 yards on 6 receptions in week 9  and has heavily impressed in a season where he was supposed to be buried on the depth chart. He is worth the add in all dynasty leagues and is worth a look in deeper redraft formats. He also added a kick-off return TD and had over 300 all-purpose yards.

Rob Gronkowski had a tremendous game for the New England Patriots with 3 TD’s and 72 yards from 5 receptions. Needless to say he is worth a look in all leagues especially after fellow rookie Aaron Hernandez got on Tom Brady’s bad side with a sloppy drop. He is currently only 9% owned and is worth the speculative add for the stretch run.

Mike Thomas had 8 receptions for 149 yards and 1 TD including a final seconds 50-yard tipped bomb from David Garrard. Mike Thomas is only 25% owned and has serious upside going into the stretch of the fantasy football season.

Anthony Fasano had 5 receptions, 107 yards and 1 TD for the Dolphins and his fantasy value is boosted with Tyler Thigpen under center as opposed to Chad Henne. He is worth an add as an insurance tight end for the stretch run.

Jermaine Gresham had 9 receptions, 85 yards and 1 TD for the Bengals and is a solid TE2 with TE1 upside. He should be owned in all PPR leagues and is worth the insurance add as the fantasy playoffs approach.

Benjamin Watson is emerging as Colt McCoy’s most trusted target and finished this Sunday’s game with 5 receptions for 74 yards. He is worth an add in deeper leagues and stands to act as excellent insurance down the stretch run.

Brian Hartline had 5 receptions for 98 yards for the Dolphins and is worth a look in deeper leagues. He has been demoted to third receiver duties but still functions as a vertical threat which allows him to remain a fantasy threat.

Deon Butler had 4 receptions, 66 yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals and looks to be a nice end of your bench WR with flex2 upside. He obviously has more value in deeper leagues but he is cementing himself as the Seahawks clear-cut #2 WR and his fantasy value is rising for the rest of the season.

Danny Amendola had yet another strong game with 7 receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. Despite him continuing to show up in the box score and be a steady fantasy option he is only 38% owned.

Brandon Gibson had a good game for the Rams and made his PPR owners very happy with 8 receptions for 72 yards and he is worth the add in PPR leagues. Dynasty leaguers will want to avoid with Sam Bradford’s receiving corps due for an influx of talent this off-season.

Arrelious Benn caught his second TD in as many games and while he is not as attractive in PPR leagues he is a worthwhile add in the deepest leagues. He finished the day with 1 TD from 2 receptions and 29 yards and figures to see his role expand as the season progresses.

Jason Avant looked good on Monday Night Football and had 5 receptions for 76 yards and 1 TD. He is worth an add in deeper leagues as end of the bench depth. He will get a big boost in the event of injury to any of the Eagles top two receivers.
