Week Ten NFL Against The Spread Leans

We are quickly approaching football Sunday and we are here once again to bring you our against the spread leans for the second time this season. It is true we are more well equipped to give you an edge on player props like the over 60.5 on Jordan Reed this Thursday, but the wealth of fantasy knowledge at our disposal helps us get an inside edge on spreads as well. Click here to view all of this weeks lines.

Seahawks over the Falcons (-5): The Seahawks come into week ten averaging .419 points per play to only .335 for the Falcons. Over their past three the Seahawks come in at .455 to .316 as the Falcons have struggled with Julio Jones out for the year and Roddy White missing his past couple of games. Roddy White is due back this week which should lead to a more reliable offense for the Falcons but the issue here is the Falcons defense which has allowed an average of 5.2 more points than the offense has been able to put on the board so far this season while the Seahawks have scored 9.2 more points than their defense has allowed. Percy Harvin is not scheduled to return this week but the Seahawks are better than the Falcons on offense, defense and special teams with or without Harvin. The line in this game seems to on the low side because the Falcons are a much better home team than road team while the Seahawks are much the same; with this game being in Atlanta the oddsmakers have adjusted for the fact that the Falcons have scored 1.6 more points than their opponents while playing at home while the Seahawks have scored only 3.6 more points than their opponents while on the road this season. Home and road statistics notwithstanding the Falcons are expected to struggle to score against the elite Seahawks defense while the Seahawks are expected to have their way with the Falcons defense that is very suspect aside from their front four.

Broncos over Chargers (-7): The Broncos look primed to be an easy cover this week against the Chargers even though both are having strong seasons. The Broncos are a much less explosive team on the road thus far this season as they have only outscored their opponents by 5 points on the road while dominating opponents by 22 at home. The Chargers have been a pleasant surprise so far this season with Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates enjoying a career resurgence while new additions in Danny Woodhead and rookie Keenan Allen have become two of the Chargers top playmakers on offense. 68 percent of the public is leaning towards the Broncos this week and we are no different as we view this as one of the safer games in week ten due to the obvious talent gap between the two teams.

Honorable mention: Saints over the Cowboys (-6.5)
