FWP has been signed to a one-year deal to join the Redskins backfield that already features Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson. This is a backfield to avoid on draft-day, but don’t hesitate to take a flier late in your draft on FWP as he may, I said may, emerge as the featured back out of the three and will than have exceptional fantasy value in Mike Shannahan’s offense. FWP like the other two backs here, are not far removed from elite fantasy status, so there is a chance one of them will emerge as the lead back and accrue significant fantasy value.
Due to upside FWP makes a great roster stash in deep leagues based on upside. You may even want to take a flier on him in the later rounds of custom leagues that have more roster spots than standard leagues.
